Before and after your exam

Do I need a doctor's order?

Not for every exam. Some exams need an order from a doctor and others do not.

Which exams use radiation?

X-ray, CT, mammography and bone density (DEXA) use X-rays. MRI, ultrasound and EMG do not.

Who reads my imaging study, and where do the results go?

A board-certified radiologist reads your imaging study and the report goes to your doctor electronically.
